It is good to know that other people that I read their blogs are learning Japanese too. The latest one is on Jim Pick blog, It appeared sindicated on Planet Classpath. Apparently it will not be difficult to find someone for chatting about Java or Linux on Japanese.
I found a nice Flash animation that teach how to write Hiragana symbols, that would be helpful after I learn how to use them :-).
