Internet Explorer add a lot of programming features that are not part of any standard, one of them is the document.all property. The Mozilla developers added support for it as a way to make buggy websites coded for IE to work on Mozilla and Mozilla based browsers, see bug #248549.
My only hope is that the developers of those IE only sites learn that using standard DOM will give them more portable, easy to read and modify code.
When writing this text, I was remembering one phrase that I learned from a De La Salle Brother: "every action or thing must be done the correct way or not be done at all", then looking for the website of the Venezuelan chapter of the "De La Salle" institution in order to link to it from this blog entry, I ironically arrived to a no standard site. Maybe it is time to contact my old school and talk to them about this problem, and at the same time remember good old times.
