Linux on the iSeries

robert | 20 July, 2004 19:51

A few weeks ago, I installed a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 AS for the iSeries platform. I am really happy to know that this week it is running on a production environment. Have you ever installed Linux on an i386 platform? if the answer is true, you must not be afraid of installing it on an iSeries system, the only difference is that you need to define the logical partition inside the OS/400 before the traditional anaconda installer starts.

If you want to try, read Linux on the IBM eserver iSeries Server: An Implementation Guide, or you can contact my employer PROMCA if you want our services ;-)
